Ouroboros Spine Time changes everything

I am writing this to keep Raindrop from falling inactive, but to also give a creative summary on what has happened from Raindrop’s point of view.

Setting: Early morning, summertime, sitting under Firemother.

Time had changed everything, just as it always had, and always will. Since Raindrop and her family moved away from their seaside home, much had changed. There was wonderful change, like watching her children grow up to become young women. But there always had to be upsetting change; Not only had Sumac left with Pine, but Moonwoman and her Sunman had passed away. The death of these leaders had left a large hole in the hearts of many, and Raindrop too, had been saddened by her passing.

She herself had changed. She had come so far from the youn adult she had been when she first arrived in this land, she had grown in many ways, and would continue too. But, she was healthy, and that was all one could ask for.

But, there would always be a silver lining, a glimmer of hope in the dark. She had heard the lone howl, just a week prior, announcing the birth the alpha’s first litter of puppies, the next generation.

And it was under the watchful boughs of Firemother, a brilliant lone maple tree, where Raindrop rested. The leaves were bright red, glowing, even, as the young sunlight had began to seep between the branches. She laid there in peace, and quiet; taking in all the little moments life had to offer. She reflected on everything she was grateful for and looked forward to the future of her family, as well as herself. There was no telling what would be waiting around the bend, but she wouldn’t worry about that now. She closed her eyes, and rested her head on her delicate paws, drifting off to sleep in the warm sun.
