vague but i figured he'd tag along if u don't mind
They roved and he followed, the plains falling away to frozen marshland then forest as the northman trailed the white woman never close but never far. He scrounged from their kills, tracked the path of old prey through the trees until he found what he was looking for; a fresh scent.
@Sivaak's tracks were not alone, much to Randolf's surprise. A smaller set of paw-prints - a girl (@Sobeille) - walked beside her and, upon investigating further, was cloaked in the same musk and pine. He had not thought of her as the collaborative type, but he had been wrong before.
Curiosity and duty drew him onwards through the trees, ears flicking as he rumbled something between a greeting and a question.

Sivaak paused mid-step, her crimson gaze slicing toward the sound of movement behind her. The wind carried the faint musk of another—familiar, though unexpected—and her lips curled slightly, revealing teeth still stained with the remnants of their last kill. She turned, her scarred frame looming as Randolf’s hulking form emerged through the sparse trees.
His rumble carried something between acknowledgment and inquiry, and Sivaak’s ears flicked as though considering whether or not to entertain it. Beside her, Sobeille lingered, the smaller wolf’s presence dwarfed by Sivaak’s bulk. Her gaze settled briefly on Randolf before she snorted, a sound that seemed both dismissive and amused.
”Brave man to follow Sivaak.” She comments with the lax swish of her tail. The only thing to stop her from descending on the man was that deep, innate longing for kin that all Muradoii felt. A Muradoii was not meant to be alone.
Perhaps why she had been so eager to take Sobeille from her home.

just a single cameo to get this in sobeille’s threadlog. please skip me, I’ll keep an eye on this thread and pop in if specifically addressed <3
a man followed them. sobeille first became aware of his steps minutes before, but the huntress she followed remained unbothered.
when sivaak turned to address the strange grumble the man uttered, sobeille stood steadfast at her side. she made no pains to visually measure this man against every metric of worth she could summon; the hard glint of her gaze communicating he fell woefully short.

all good!
Like an ice bear, Sivaak's figure was unmistakably large and imposing even in the dim shadows of the forest. And next to her, the girl. The difference in size drew a throaty noise of amusement from the northman as he regarded them both with intense curiosity. There must have been some merit to the ruddy child for the huntress to keep her around.
He raised an eyebrow at her snort, shoulders rolling to ease some tension from the air. Though Sivaak perhaps knew he posed no threat, the girl did not if her distasteful glare was anything to go by. "You have company," Randolf addressed the white woman with a curt nod before his head tilted slightly in thought.
It had taken some deliberation before he had decided to trail after them and he was faintly pleased to hear her praise. Brave man, she had called him, and although there was a hint of humour behind her words, a wave of longing curled in his chest. He wished to fight with her again, if she allowed it.

so the trouble band grows ehehhe
Sivaak cast a brief glance at Sobeille, noting the hard glare the girl directed at Randolf. A soft grunt escaped her, almost as if acknowledging the unspoken challenge between the two.
"Strange girl stays," she said bluntly, as if to preempt any question of the smaller wolf’s presence. "She learns. Proves worth." Her gaze flicked back to Randolf, the sharpness in her stare softening only slightly. "Brave man stay, you prove, too. Same rules."
She didn’t wait for an answer, turning back toward the faint trail they followed. Her steps were slow but deliberate, a pace meant to ensure they both followed. "Muradoii not keep dead weight," she called over her shoulder, the words rough yet strangely inviting in their own way.

Sivaak's fanclub
Randolf's focus shifted once more to the other as Sivaak attested her position, revealing little information beyond her odd title. A shrug accompanied his agreeable rumble, for the northman was used to anonymity. In fact, he almost preferred it. The company he sought was worthy not in name nor origin, but in the strength and resilience that came with battle. "Sivaak will not be disappointed."
He followed her swift departure with quick strides of his own until he moved besides the white woman, tail flicking at her choice of words. Muradoii, much like Frørgjöll, weeded out the weak before they became a liability. Icy eyes raked her scarred frame with careful calculation; it was so easy for one to be consumed by their own power as had been the case for many before. He only hoped it had not reached Sivaak's head - not yet.

still skippable but I had a lil time <3
she did not like this.
sobeille slowed her gait as the man drew alongside sivaak. that very gesture, in sobeille’s head, was unspeakably rude — for it signified they were equals if they walked abreast.
drawn now to studying the man, sobeille could not help studying the parts of him sivaak had showed her could be removed to prevent children. envisioning this eased some small part of her misgiving, but if he was to look behind him he might notice a ghoulish hideousness in sobeille’s eyes.
she turned her mind to dogfish and her maman now as they marched. she missed home and at times mourned it. there were times that she turned her gaze to the stars above and breathed a plume of mist out into that unbroken wildnerness and wondered if they did not in that same moment do the same, and feel alive for all the buzzing wildness sat deep within their bones.
Sivaak’s eyes flicked over Randolf as he strode beside her. Her gaze lingered on the bulk of him, noting the thick muscle that rippled with each step. The back leg moved awkwardly, a weakness she didn’t miss, but it didn’t seem slow him much.
After all, she hadn't noticed it the first time she'd seen the brute.
"Good." She huffs out.
Her tail gave a faint flick as she exhaled sharply, her eyes narrowing slightly, though whether it was in approval or dismissal was unclear. There was strength in him, that much was obvious. Her attention shifted briefly to Sobeille, catching the tension in the smaller wolf’s frame as she trailed behind. The sharpness in the girl’s glare as she eyed Randolf didn’t escape Sivaak, but she offered no reaction to it.
With a grunt, Sivaak jerked her head forward and moved on, the signal clear. She set the pace now, her focus shifting back to the trail.
