Charon rolled his eyes when Saskia said she didn't do anything. He knew better, but he decided not to further mention it because she was probably embarrassed about it or something. "Okay, sure," he said, though it was clear from the tone in his voice and the look on his face that Charon didn't really believe her.
Saskia was all upset now, and Charon wasn't very good with upset wolves. Maybe because he believed that he was the only one in the world allowed to be upset, since obviously his life had been a hundred times more tragic than anyone else's, ever. "Oh, come on, don't be like that," he daid with a frown on his face, and he resisted the urge to roll his eyes again. "I didn't know it was gonna be that feisty."
Charon walked to where the crab was and sniffed the contents of the crab. It had been a while since he'd eaten crab at all -- it was generally not worth the effort -- and Charon licked his lips while he sniffed it. Then he looked at Saskia, and he sighed and offered: "Do you want to try it?" She had worked hard for it, after all, so she at least deserved a bite.
Charon watched as Saskia tried the meat, and she didn't even seem to like it. He imagined it would likely be the last time she'd ever try crab meat — until he'd command her to slay him another, anyway.
