Moonspear Running with the boys

She called him "boo" and the dopiest grin spread across his muzzle. It was nothing more than a nickname, but there was something about the affection in her voice when she said it that made Floki warm from the inside. Wildfire then came to an abrupt halt and declared that it was time to switch gears, instead suggesting that they venture into one of Moonspear's many caves. Floki would have been happy to stroll alongside Wildfire forever, but he was equally as pleased to do her bidding.

He was surprised, however, that she wanted to confront her fear of tunnels. "Are you sure?" he asked, prepared to turn and head in the direction of the mountain's slopes once she gave him confirmation. But he briefly became hung up on the second half of her statement, his expression growing cloudy. "Charon said that?" he asked, frowning. Charon was not always the most tactful wolf, but Floki still couldn't imagine him criticizing Wildfire in such a way; he seemed to be a big fan of "Dhole," as he referred to her.
