Charon decided to ignore the whole bear thing. It annoyed him that Jorunn refrained from apologising. It would've been appropriate if he had, Charon thought, but whatever. They moved on to the new subject, a surprising one that Charon had given no thought, ever, really. Thistle taking on a new mate. The thought seemed silly, but the more he thought of it, the more Charon realised that maybe it'd be good for her if she did. Maybe she'd be happier.

"I dunno, maybe." Charon shrugged, making it clear he had given it very little thought. "If it'd make her happy, she totally should, but I don't think that anyone's caught her eye or anything. Why do you ask?" Charon was curious if Jorunn would think positively or negatively towards his mother taking up a new mate.
