Okay, so Goober was really bad at circles and directions. He had basically started following the sea, still searching for this mysterious "Reek" and "Saena." Those were, of course, Smash's friends. Truth be told, Goober wanted to impress her. Not because he had any intention of banging her—he really wasn't the type—but more because he wanted her to be his friend. If there was one thing in this world Goober pined for, it was friendship.

Catching sight of another wolf, Goober's heart leapt. Could that be Reek or Saena? he found himself thinking, and before he knew it, he was rushing toward the stranger. His body language portrayed wordlessly that he was no threat, and his bright eyes and lolling tongue only accentuated that fact. "Hi! I'm looking for somebody. Well, a couple of somebodies, for my friend. Do you know a Reek or Saena? Or have you ever heard of Redtail Rise?" he asked, not bothering with introductions for the time being.
