He was wondering if maybe she just had an attention dephecit and the reason that she kept blabbering on was because she wanted to pretend she knew shit and was important.

He made sure to stay close to her in case she'd try to run away or whatever. The scent came familiar from when he had met the little girl though. He didn't know where her pack was at, but he'd track her down and find her if he had to, assuming she really did know something. It was worth checking out the lead, at the very least.
