It didn't help that his mate was called 'scary'. Maybe if the situation was a little different Charon would've inwardly laughed at the boy's nervousness but as things were he didn't see the humour in the situation. "Are you calling my mate scary?" he asked with a mirthless expression.

Every 'sorry' further diminished Charon's opinion of this 'Rian' boy. Seemed to him that if Hydra was really friends with the boy, the only reason she cared at all was because she was a good kid and was trying to be inclusive, even with the losers.
