@Easy @Lavender @Dauntless : puppies really only have to make a cameo. Momma Khoe is just gonna tell 'em a little story :)
Though still tiny and fragile, Khoe could see the changes happening in her three young. All of their coats were slowly beginning to fluff out, making them look more like sentient puffballs than pups. Arushi's coat was beginning to show a preview of what would later become her adult coat; a red merle, not unlike Khoe's own mother's. It made her smile as she reminisced on the childhood that she had since lost. Mirza and Ishara were a bit hardert to tell apart than their firey sister, but it was the lavender nose on the first born girl that made her stand out from the rest.
As the morning sun began to rise and the pups began to squeal for their morning meal, Khoe yawned and stood to stretch her limbs before settling for their breakfast. Though she knew they were still deaf, she often took whatever alone time they had together to talk to them and tell them each just how special she thought they were.
You know, in case they ever forgot.
