Moonspear stuck in her daydream

Charon breathed a sigh of relief when Vela pretended to see what he saw (or really saw it, whatever, it didn't matter all that much). He smiled as she excitedly bounced on over to greet Osprey and Drake, whatever they looked like to her. He'd forgot to mention that Drake had always been rather hairy because of an incident with... Was it bears? Crafting bears? Well, he didn't remember, but it didn't matter much (and mentioning bears right now seemed like a terrible idea). However Vela saw Drake was how he was now. And he wasn't even real, anyway.

As Vela asked if Osprey was blue like the sky, Charon grinned, not really having given it much thought that she might see Osprey as something that wasn't a grey wolf. "Hmm, not last time I saw her, but it looks like she got transformed!" He nosed Vela on the shoulder and asked, "What're they like now? I think you're the only one who can see them now. I think I got too old." He looked sad, though it was mostly that Charon wanted to find a fun way to have Vela describe to him what her imagination made of them. And so that she knew it was an age-thing and she couldn't go off having imaginary friends forever, but it was fine now that she was young.
