For a moment, Dirge genuinely thought he had a taker to his plans, however vague they were. But even Rome wasn't built in a day, so when the boy admitted he couldn't, it did not surprise him. Maybe spend all that time regretting; he didn't know and didn't say. But admittedly, his time on his own left him with more dauntless, selfish aspects.
