the meeting had been good, from what he remembered. the advice that had been given was sound, and illidan did not let it leave him very easily. he had carried the words around with him for a good while after having encountered the tundra wolf. there had not been many cases in which he had to use the good word, but it had become a part of him nevertheless. he anticipated that it would shine through when he needed it most.

there was talk of an alliance between the two packs. now, illidan might have been skilled enough to find himself in the beta position of rusalka, but he did not know that his mother would look so kindly on him forging partnerships with other packs without communicating to her first. he nodded his head to derg, still keeping his expression neutral. “i think an alliance would be beneficial, yes. i'll bring it up, once i've returned,” he promised with a ghostly curling of his lips.

“just thought it would do some good for at least one of our members to join in on this... festival. we were invited, after all. it would have been rude not to show,” illidan then answered the query with a soft laugh. the gravelly tone of his voice had a hint of good humor in it. “what about you?”
