sorry it took me a minute to reply to this one <33 i'd love a more up-to-date thread

it took a lot more than that to make illidan uncomfortable. he had found a way to muddle through most of those conversations with a logical head. had derg delved any deeper into the emotional side of finding a mate, he would have caused a very different reaction in the young ghost. as it was, the dark-hooded young man was capable of taking part in what they were discussing without losing his head.
 
when derg mentioned that such a bond was intended to last forever, illidan thought of his mother. he wondered if she felt as though she had been robbed of her time with kierkegaard. more than this, he wondered if she had been tempted by anyone else since his father’s passing. the thought caused fire to burn inside of him and he swallowed his feelings swiftly.
 
“i’ll have to tell you when i do find someone that special. hey, you want to find some food here, maybe?” illidan offered, glancing around at the festivities that were taking place and wondering where they would be able to sink their teeth into a tasty morsel.
