Lost Creek Hollow We're moving to

She had stopped to scrape at the ground across a particularly large gap in the trees.  There were a few like this, so it was a convenient time for someone with not nearly as long of legs as hers to catch up.  And quite obviously, she heard him coming.  Arbiter looked over her shoulder, spotting his approach.  Not the kid she was expecting to show up -- of course, there was a much higher chance it would be her own, just based on numbers -- but whatever.  Children were the future, were they not?

At his words, there was that momentary blink blink at the fact that anyone his age wouldn't know all the details, but that was reasoned away with the fact that his father couldn't talk.  Obviously he couldn't know all the details because he couldn't say them out loud.  Or something.  It was reasonable enough so she didn't explore the matter any further.  You can.  I'm patrolling. Making sure the borders are clear and well marked, and that nobody has trespassed.

Arbiter was a practical creature, so the next thing she wondered was who Pheiros might end up being as he grew.  First, though, Do you know much about borders?  It was the best way she could think of to phrase the question.  Maybe it wasn't going to entirely get her the answers she wanted but it might be enough for a bit of direction.
