when he address her, confirming her victory, the pride flares again. but she only nods, confirming his last words with an "I do." she does not know when that magical time that marks them as adults will come, but she is utterly impatient for it to arrive. already she can meet Vengeance's eye without having to crane her head back, but she is fairly certain size is not the only marker of adulthood. 

standing, she dips her head in farewell, keen on shoving her face into a snowbank but entirely unwilling to reveal that. with a final glance at the warlord, she turns on her heel and returns the way she'd come, wondering at what would come of this.
