winter had come in and settled over the wilds with a frightening, eerie presence. even the disaster that had struck the oceanside had not had the same ghostly sense that this did. in the fog, he trailed along the edge of the cliffs with one eye to the sea and one eye to the dangerous stone. his figure was disheveled and ragged in its appearance. illidan appeared not to have eaten for several days – ribs jutting from his sides, cheeks hallow and gaunt – but somehow, he still continued to move on.
there was a fear in approaching the sound. something within him that begged him to turn away from his previous home and venture into the wilds to seek shelter elsewhere. the scents that had once existed abundantly along the shores had long since faded. the ghost of a boy wondered what would be left of his home. he gritted his teeth against the fear that bubbled up in his stomach, urging him back from where he came.
