That grin sent a shiver down his spine. What was their motive? Toy around with him? Best him? Kill him? Maybe they intended on doing all three, it sure seemed to be heading that way.

He needed to figure out how to get out of here. Run? No he'd be stuck in the mud. Maybe if he got close enough he could catch them off guard, push them into the sludge and hightail out of there. It's worth a shot.
