Title. I'm asking because stuff like Taoism IRL is considered like, a philosophy and not a religion, yet we study it alongside religions. Similarly, Buddhism is a religion or a philosophy depending on who you talk to. Some Buddhists believe that Buddha became a God after he reached Enlightenment, which would make Buddhism a religion, but a lot of Buddhists believe that the Buddha was and remained just a man after he reached Enlightenment, which would technically make Buddhism a philosophy. So basically like, does my character need to believe in Gods or Spirits or whatever in order to get the Spiritualist Trade? What if they're teaching something like meditation? What if they're teaching a philosophy about how one should live their life that is considered spiritual but not religious? Etc.
