Fig's comment illicited a pause and a look, but little else. After a brief, wary interlude, the boy went right back to chomping on his kill, unperturbed. Fig watched him for a moment, then... Kinda just kept watching him. This wasn't going the way he thought it would, and having no actual experience with this sort of interaction, he really had no idea what to do next.

So... "I'll wait," Fig said, shrugging awkwardly and then dropping onto his haunches. He didn't sense any immediate threat from the stranger and suspected that, given his clearly weakened state, he'd be able to hold his own just fine even if the ragged boy decided to attack. So, the least Fig could do was let him have his meal. It at least gave him time to figure out his next move.
