Clay shifted uneasily under the gaze of his father as he stood before him, weary of that hardened gaze and face that hid all emotion. He didn't understand why Greyback did such a thing, was he that uncaring? Or was he just too old too move his face? Clay gulped, taking a step towards his mother in favor of her attention.

He hastily dipped his head as she neared, offering the crown of his head to lick while he glanced at Valour out of the corner of his eye. He was a bit worried about the display, of seeming like a child in front of the male. But Valette—his mother, was always eager to give her dotting, and it felt nice to have after such a long time.

"NO! Don't call the others, please." He replied hastily, taking his head away and out of her reach. Why did valour back away? Damn it! He needed him for support.
