Whitefish River down to the river

She got the usual attitude from Spica, but Emrik didn't seem upset about any of it, so she didn't push the subject any further. Her mate actually went out of his way to be nice despite her daughter's rudeness, for which she was thankful. She also hoped that one day, the kids would come to love him like a father. 

She offered a gentle nuzzle to Spica and turned her focus to Emrik, ready to hear what places he thought were cool. She had her own favorite places here, but she was interested to see which places he liked most. She was very happy to be back at the river and she was ready to get back to normal life; it felt like nothing had been completely normal while they were on the plains. They just didn't feel like home, not like the river did. She smiled to both them and to Emrik, softly told him to: Lead the way.
