He watched as his mother raised her voice in question, her face contorting as she demanded answers.

And then watched as Valour ran the opposite direction before looking him in the eyes and spouting nonsense.

It made his blood boil within his veins, quickly replacing the anxiety with anger as he sputtered on everything that had happened so quickly. He wanted to yell at the idiot, to chase him down and tackle him before smacking him across the face for such words. Words that were his own.

'Monsters'

He grit his teeth, looking back at his mother with pinched brows and a worried lip. "No! It's not what you think!" He snapped, fur bristling along his spine. How would he explain this? "When I was taken by Vengeance- The warlord, Valour was just a pup himself. An alpha ranked pup. He saved me! Protected me from the others and when I escaped he lied to them—Maybe so they wouldn't come after me. But Vengeance is dead! Valour took over as the warlord—It's like the leader. An alpha!" He spat before a sob raked his frame and dropped down to the grass to hide his face.

He felt bad for yelling at his mom, for raising his voice. But he was more concerned with the fact Valour was upset with him once more.

He didn't know what to do. Should he follow Valour? Should he stay in Easthollow?

The boy gulped down breaths before rising up and shaking his face. "I need to go, i'll be back" he parted, not looking at his mother before turning and running.
