The arrival of the man who knew her as Nüwa, covered in blood of likely some other poor victim who had been snatched from her home, wearing a vicious smile and acting cocky as ever, somehow only heightened Huā's confidence. This was the right move. Those who prided themselves in being savage were not welcome in the land of the civilized, too small-minded to understand anything beyond beastliness. Huā believed in her sister's gods in a very casual way, but brutes like this made her realize there was a sort of evolution too, and some were left behind in the brains department, eating their own kind and tormenting civilized societies for fun. 

It seems you've called me, Donovan uttered. 
No shit, Sherlock, Huā thought to return, but held her tongue for a short moment. 

Have you come to kill me?

Probably not, She hummed casually, flicking an ear, mentally mocking the way he approached things so comfortably- though this personal joke would not be obvious on the outside. Unless you push us to this point. We here to give you a message, which you will heed, if you have brain in that thick skull. Here she paused- was this bravery, or stupidity? Was it good to be bold in the face of danger? Huā thought of Hydra. The woman who was not overly large, but carried herself like a civil beast, and commanded the land with her confident words that were not oft questioned.

Huā was not a warrior, and less experienced than her role model. But she assumed the only way to down the path of gaining a reputation as a strong and powerful leader, was to act as one. And no matter how Donovan outwardly acted respectful to some, all the undertones of his words about worthiness, all the crimes he committed behind the backs of those who once called him friend, made him undeserving of respect. Considering none of his friends had shown up, he was severely outnumbered as well... and Huā figured eight wolves were capable of downing a single half blood, if things came to this. 

So she only went on.

She was quiet then, face solemn as she turned seaglass back to her companions momentarily to see if any of them had their own inputs. She was sure some would. As she waited though, gaze fell daringly back to Donovan, ready for whatever ugly words he might throw back at her, and prepared to swallow them all.
