Compared to other times, Sumi had managed to slip out without waking her. The young Princess slumbered peacefully, nestled against her brother as their parents went out and about their daily duties. Surely they would be back when it was time to get up, but the voice that roused her wasn't an adult's... blinking the sleep from her eyes, Hotaru raised her head to look to the entrance.

Sumi had already moved to greet their visitors and perhaps any other day she would have been more focused on her sister running off once more, but instead, it was the other two that caught her eye. One white, but dirty, maybe like the time Sumi fell in the mud the other dressed in a harsh brightness she had yet to see. It was...weird, and with no adult around Hotaru was much more hesitant to rush to this new encounter.

Instead, Hotaru would use her sister's distraction to slink forward to watch from the base of the den's entrance while Sumi dealt with these other two hoping that she could go by unnoticed until things were sorted out.
