She didn't dare utter the thought that snapped into her mind. She didn't even understand why she wasn't. Everything that happened...it was over. That's what mattered, even if the memories clung with talons she was fine. At least that's what she liked to believe, but of course, things like trauma were too complex for her to understand yet.
Hotaru let her gaze drift back to the vale. The sun had risen now, its early morning rays painting the sky with watercolor tones. The sight was pretty, calming even. It made her feel like things really were ok, if only for a moment.
