You should be less sensitive. Scrunching her nose at her own "fact", she continued to talk down on the stranger. There was no filter, that was obvious. Conquest would always say what was on her mind regardless of the outcome. If someone couldn't handle her honesty, then it sucked to be them, that was all she had to say on the matter. There was no way on hell she would tiptoe around the feelings of others. 

I was not looking for shelter. The rain didn't bother her, she had her own mission at hand. Find home. Waiting out the rain at this time of the year seemed like a useless venture. Almost every day it seemed to rain, reminding her vaguely of when she was younger. Is this how the season worked? Are you scared of the woods? Quirking a brow, it was the closest she had gone to teasing... such a woman acting so tough and then questioning about dangers in the forest she should know about. It almost made the young-woman laugh.
