She came up behind him, ambushing him mid-thought. As she moved up to his side, Taikon moved to reach his nose out to her, but read her body language, frowned, and abandoned the attempt. Clearly, she was still upset at him over something.
At that point, Taikon was beginning to feel that Takiyok was treating everything quite childishly. She had collected her little niece, even though a child was far more likely to slow them down than Zephyr. He wondered if the injury to her head was making her irritable, and he just happened to make an excellent lightning rod.
