Redsand Canyon stop waiting on your fifteen minutes of fame

She offered him a kind smile in return to his words. She never had learned how to take a compliment, unless it was about getting something right in one of her mother’s pop quizzes… apart from that, the idea of being complimented simply for existing… well, it had never happened before.
 
He mentioned heading to the borders and she grinned at him, nodding. “Have fun with that.” It was one part she did not envy about their job. She was certain she’d go crazy walking the same paths almost constantly.
 
He gave his goodbyes. “Bye, Kallik.” She offered in return, remaining there until he was out of sight before opening her jaw, rolling it around as best as she could and turning to head in the other direction back to the tablinum. She still had work to do as well.
