Indignant and ruffled, the boy lifted his chin.
How were his parents so blind? How could they be so daft that they did not see the leeching, blood-sucking, monster that was Reyson? Unbridled fury danced in the darkness of his gaze. The boy could hardly stand in his skin. The cold wrapped around his figure and made him quake.
Antigone was burning with fury.

This outburst did not give her answers. It did not clear the air or open the door to the fights between Antigone and Reyson. It might offer the mother a glimpse at the inner turmoil of her son.
He squanders her affection!
