it was beginning to dawn on her that there might be a value to following nature's wishes for her as a woman. mira had no sentimental desire to be a mother, but to have power was something she did long for. the ideal situation for her would be to not interact with a male at all to create her mini-selves. if they could appear out of thin air only by her mind, that would be greatest. creatures with only her blood, resembling only her and her mother, ostregas born for greatness and to serve as workers beneath her command, keeping hold over moonspear. 

unforetunately, that wasn't exactly possible. science n shit. bummer. 

the next best thing would be to find the perfect male for the job. as she had never had a need nor wish to, mira had never actually... done that, before. but there were few things in this world that really scared her and although she did hate the idea of letting someone on top of her, even for a minute, she supposed as long as it was someone she was confident she could overcome in a fight, maybe she would be okay. if he got any funny ideas she could always leave him bleeding out after, mira decided. 

her heat had been going on for a few days already, now she was in the middle of it. the remnants of her scent trail could likely be tracked through a couple territories that she'd moved through. now upon the low slopes of the mountain, she strolled at dusk, presently content from an earlier meal and yet restless with some expectation. anticipating. perhaps the world would send her the optimal situation- otherwise she would be forced to return to the other idea, which was to become socially likable enough to recruit outsiders who would give their loyalty to her and her alone. she wasn't exactly a friendly wolf by nature and that would likely be a bit of a challenge for her. but if she had kids, there was no need to be "socially likable", right? she would be their one social standard. she would be the creator of their world and plant ideas in their head from their very childhood. perfect. 

mira was confident she could overcome whatever the challenge, yet remained ready for the perfect opportunity to present itself to her. her tail swished back and forth anxiously, spreading her scent in the air as she moved along stone trails without destination.
