Now that he was older and stronger and bigger than he'd been when he was born, LP snuck out of the den as much as he could. Things were way stuffy with mom and Iris and Isaiah, and way cooler under open skies and still new places.
He'd managed to ditch Isaiah at the rendezvous and found himself at the end of a huge fallen tree. Woah. With a dip of his head he peeked inside -- and was this what every tree looked like?

HEY!!LP shoved his head into the rotting dark, his tail whipping a storm behind him. How cool was this! Wait until he told Isa and Iris he'd talked to a tree!
