ezra suckles for a bit but discontent steals itself into his little chest and he pushes away. his movements are limited, because of his newborn state, because it is awfully crowded. there is a body everywhere he squirms and none of them feel like @Gideon. somehow, he'd gotten wedged between two of the older nursing pups and he rolls his large head, frustration bubbling within him again.

though unable to really cognitively perceive such things, there is a feeling washing over him: a sense of wrongness that makes it easy to see the split between holy revenant and vessel. sharing with so many demands sacrifices and ezra, small and helpless in his newborn stage is easily cowed by the older ones.

he lets out a cry that falls upon his folded, deaf ears to anyone who would hear him, stating his displeasure. that there is a hunger lingering in his belly, unaware that he shares in this displeasure with one of the ones that did not belong. that was not his wombmate.
