He wondered if she thought he was stupid. Fleeting, the thought soured him. But he didn't think she had the capability to be rude, or snide. He shrugged, attempting to choose his words out of...kindness. They breed like rabbits.
To her credit, she was determined. He had hope at last that she would have other attributes to hone— not to just be a healer.
But t'sworth a shot.
And then she bid him farewell and he continued his hard work. An apology owed, but a debt not repaid. His kindness was not fruitful, however barren the season may be.
