"Yay!" cheered Charon when her job was done, and he came closer to look at it. When Shiv mentioned he had clunky paws rather than a handy beak, Charon sighed dramatically and said, "I know, right? I wish I had a beak like you! That would be sooo handy!" Sadly, he had no such thing, so it was hard for him to do handy-beak-things.

Charon stayed at a small distance while Shiv was near the crab. He knew it was sort of her crab, and since he had developed a bit more respect for the bird since they first met five minutes ago, Charon tilted his head and hesitantly asked, "... Can I try it too?" He hoped that Shiv would let him, because he had never actually tasted it (just gotten pinched in the nose a million times) and, considering how often he had suffered to get here, he really, really wanted to give it a try.
