Sleeping Dragon to marry the sea in a ceremony of storms

Just like snowflakes, the bits of ash drifted to the ground and began to collect. It looked just like snow in the bright light of the super moon, though it wasn't cold to the touch. Biting her lip, Wildfire kept climbing, her pulse thundering in her ears. Was the volcano about to erupt? Would lava and flames shoot into the air any second? She had grown up on a volcano, albeit an extinct one, and now she wondered why Thuringwethil and Gyda had chosen this place if something like this might happen.

When she found the commander, Wildfire discovered that she was not alone. She gave Hush a cursory glance and nod, then looked to her mate. "Yeah, I'm okay," she said, nudging up against her. "How about you? What's going on? Should we evacuate?" The words tumbled from her lips in a disjointed rush even as a piece of ash landed square on the bridge of her smudged snout.
