Heron Lake Plateau Hoping for real betterness

Yeah.  Maybe this was just how he was.  Although she did understand why he hadn't swept by, so at least she understood him there.  The pack usually had border stuff covered, so he could sit and guard Raven.  

She watched him walk off for a second before she trotted in tandem.  How're the kids and wife doing?  Mostly she was concerned with Rave since the pups were still, well, potatoes... but she was also pretty certain that she would've heard by now if any of them, Raven included, had not been faring well.  Actually, we can just cut out the whole 'small talk' thing if it's easier for you.
