Poe had been working towards this for months. As soon as she saw them in the distance, her heart had stopped and she'd dropped to her haunches to simply stare for a while and appreciate this moment. But her heart told her it was, so she took some time to collect herself and let the glee and triumph settle before she started taking the next steps in her journey.

Happy as she was to have found the forest of willows, Poe was fairly calm as she trotted along. The scent of other wolves grew stronger as she approached, which was a very good sign to her. She had no way of knowing yet that the pack that claimed the willows these days was not the one her mother had once reigned over. She also had no way of knowing in spite of that fact, one of the brothers she had sought for so long lived beneath the arching bows still.

All the Ostrega knew as she stopped respectfully on their doorstep was that she had been gone from home for almost a year in pursuit of this moment. And once it was over, she might finally get to go home. She smiled as she tilted her head back and knocked on the door.
