In his subtlest ways, as she ate the snack he brought, he was trying to sniff out little, minor details about the pups that her telling furs would share. With the mix of familiarity and unfamiliar that they brought into the situation, for their scents were not the easiest to pick out from Hydra, her sisters', and even Dirge's presence on the area.. they were distinct enough in their very own way now that he took half a second to decipher them. And, of course, when her report of their progress so far came positively, he felt his mood lift a little more.

Vega, Osiris, Atlas, and Antares. While far from the first time he had heard these names originally from the stars and their myths, this was the first time he had to remember them in earnest as one of their Moonspearian own, and fitting ones at that--his tail waved softly as a hint of a small, fond smile came to him, thinking, imagining, what they might be like. Good. I'll be ready to meet them then, he said, happy to hear that they were eager to explore--he wanted them to get to see it all, from the mountain and the valleys below. They had a lot to catch up on and he wanted to be there to help them do it with the rest of the family. Sounds like they'll fit in well.. when it's that time, he said, happy and reminded well of having to wait for his youngest siblings to reach that point before he could get to know them.

Then, he steadied up a bit. I also wanted to ask if there was anything else you wanted me to do--for you or them, here or anywhere else, he offered to Hydra, as sister and alpha alike. He liked a directive, even better when it was something to do, it distracted him from his grief--which did remind him, he almost wanted to ask about Speedy.. because what if they found trace of her somewhere? What of her whelps, their half-siblings? Jarilo stopped the thought dead there, before he could even frown about it; evidently he wasn't quite ready to broach that subject so outright yet.
