"I get you," she began, "but how would we do it? Would you lead?" She didn't mean to sound so incredulous, though she'd thought Tristan shared her feelings about leadership. "Much as I love this place, we could always join one of the up-and-coming packs out there. There's even a few right along the coast, like that Seahaven place..." And that was just one of several, based on her recent rangings, though she trailed off there to let Tristan get a word in edgewise.
