All Welcome
Mink had been patrolling a little bit. Mostly hunting, and tracing the waterways, but keeping an eye out as best he could. As he rounded a bend in his route (alongside a thin, sad creek-bed that was becoming more like a puddle every day) he caught a hind paw against a tree root and stumbled. The missed step amounted to his lissome body teetering off-kilter for an awkwardly suspended moment, but he managed to gather his paws beneath himself before any harm befell him; however, as he tried to put weight back down on his ankle, he winced and was met with only pain.

It was probably a light sprain so he wasn't immediately worried. The wolf hobbled his way clear of some densely growing trees and found himself along the edge of a clover field, where he plopped himself down and awkwardly scooted his hindquarters so that his sore paw was extended awkwardly (sort of like when dogs rub their butts on carpet, or cats are caught cleaning between their toes), and tried to get a better look at the joint. It was quite a sight considering his stout limbs and long, thin body proportionally speaking.

When he failed to extend his paw and flex it enough (since every little movement hurt) he sighed, dropped his hind leg in to the clovers, and gave himself a few moments to rest. Maybe that's all he needed? A little rest, maybe a soak in the water (if he could find a creek that hadn't dried up entirely), and of course, a snack!
