The sun was barely rising and the dark woman could feel her pregnancy nearing an end, the non stop kicking would soon be replaced by the pains of motherhood and she welcomed them with open arms. Now Serem knew she had to make her way to her den and with each step; the need to birth them became greater. Luckily she made it and the female laid down; her breathing growing heavier as the labor pains increased. Soon the earthy smells of her den would be replaced by the metallic smell of blood as well as child birth.

Serem took a deep breath and began to try pushing out the first pup. Her small cries filled the den as the young pup slid from her body and Serem instinctively tore the sack containing it with her teeth and nudging and licking the tiny thing until it took its first breath. As she was cleaning she took note of the pups gender and she had a little girl. Before naming her child the raven knew she was having more as the pains that subsided for a bit returned and she'd start the process over again.

The second pup to be born was bigger than the first but only slightly and the new mother opened the next sack that encased her young and boy the chord that connected them to her body. This time it was a male. She licked him clean and set him on the path towards her stomach and she waited to see if the pains would come back but they never did. She was left with two.
