At the chuff, her head jerked upwards faintly, eerie silver gaze glinting as it zeroed in on her solitary audience member. 

She shifted instinctively, shoulders and head lowering from their alert positioning as her auds and tail tucked submissively. A faint wag took hold of it, plume swishing against her heels and slinging a few errant droplets. I'm not a threat.

Opalites slid down the scarred cheek to dusky agouti paws, body language prevalent in the mute's silent dance of welcome - a hushed rumble emitted from the pale column of her throat: hi!

He was familiar but she could not place him amidst the sea of amnesia.
"You see, I got a bullet for a tooth and
