Instinct told Whrist she was in danger as the second coyote returned, but she needn’t have even flicked a thought toward it as the thing was grabbed by the large and powerful white predator that was Nyra. With the males teeth and attention aimed for the wolf holding his mate the white wolf was left to grab him where ever she would, he squealed in defiance still clawing toward Whrist despite his own dire situation.

Whrist’s eyes flicked to Nyra catching that struggle, being sure the male would not reach her as  then her whole attention shifted to her own prey. Her hold on the base of the neck just below the skull of the female was secure. She shoved off the tree, She needed to give herself room to do what was needed next. Whrist crushed down on the bones in the neck with all her might, She was rewarded wth the crunch of bone giving away below her fang and blood soon coated her tongue.

It was only then that Whrist began to shake her body just as the Coyote had done to her shoulder, However the black wraith was larger and had taken the time to get a more devastating hold. The coyotes screams turned into whimpers and slowly it’s struggles became twitches and still Whrist did not relent, this thing would pay for the insult of entering the strath.
