Vein Bonesplinter nodded thoughtfully as Hemlocke spoke, He missed speaking so candidly about the gods, he was pleasantly surprised he had found a willing conversationalist in Hemlocke having given him the opportunity to back out and ignored this kind of conversation, he hummed as he thought about the after life, the conversation about the grandmaster completely forgotten for the moment.

Not so much of an eternity of suffering…. unless of course one displeased the gods so thoroughly, there are many opportunities to serve the gods over all time.”

Vein was speaking of course of rebirth something that he believed the gods offered to those whom died nobly or in service to the gods. There were ways to of course be punished without chance of rebirth but he felt Hemlocke was not one of those, at least not yet…

Do you know much of the afterlife? I could share what I know if you wish” He hoped he could ease the mans fears. Though there could be horrors for an unworthy death there were ways to be honored too.

He missed his mother and aunt dearly, their deaths were not so honourable that he worried for them and grieved deeply. His father … well he hoped he had desecrated that one enough that he condemned him to the eternity of suffering Hemlocke seemed to fear. Though he doubted it. The gods were ever fickle.
