the inky ghoul took to scouting the neighboring territories after his unexpected run-in with a past friend...or was it lover? his relationship with the coal and russet mercenary was more complicated now than ever, and that was saying a lot considering the overly complex and tangled feelings they had held for each other before his abrupt departure from the wilds.

unsure of where their relationship would go from here, astaroth escaped his worries in the most comfortable way he knew how - sating his wanderlust. as curious as a whimsical child, the sable vagrant crept his way through warped branches and entwined shrubbery, eventually stumbling upon the trail of the vigilant hunter and his oblivious prey.

the shadow kept a ways back, not wishing to disrupt the other's efforts or earn himself disfavor amongst the locals. for now he remained off in the distant, mindful not to alert the trio of his presence as he slunk down to the earth's floor. ever watchful, astaroth remained steadfast, curious if the unfamiliar hunter could pull off whatever plan he may have in mind.
