It wasn't like Haru had been eager for it. His narrow gaze regarded the stranger for a few moments. The thief didn't really like what all this sounded like. When the other guy gestured to the deer, Haru licked his chops. 

How 'bout I just wait over there til yer finished and I'll just take whatever ya left? The coyote gestured with a swinging motion of his muzzle toward a tree that looked like it'd provide a bit of cover and quiet. 

Then we don't need to stick our snouts anywhere unsavory, mmm? Haru offered a lazy half-smile.
