She galloped east, heading into the no man's land between the two sister packs, and found a peaceful spot to sit and process. Bat sat there for an hour, maybe a little more, and then picked up her feet and continued eastward at a slow walk. She could use a listening ear. She would've liked to talk to her best friend about it but, well...
Shaking her head, the yearling drew up just outside the copse. She admired the blooming spring scenery for a moment, then tipped back her head and called for her mother. Bat then sent up another howl, this time for @Sequoia. Wildfire might be too busy to come see her and it had been too long since she'd caught up with her "cousling." If memory served, Seq was pretty darn good at comfort and support.

Sequoia was surprised, though maybe she shouldn't have been surprised that Bat was calling for her. They had talked a time or two, and they were born in the same place. Maybe she was surprised because there were very few times that anybody came to the Firebirds calling for her. Her closest friends were here, and her family... well, who know what they were up to these days.
She arrived as quickly as she could, her tongue lolling out her mouth and her eyes bright when she approached Bat with the most open stance possible.

Hey Bat!she greeted,
What's up?Hopefully nothing bad.
No longer speaks Trigedasleng regularly.
Just seeing her friend's face cheered up Bat, not that she was in a bad mood, per se... she wasn't sure how she felt right now. In any case, her tail broke into a steady wag when the Honoree appeared to greet her. Bat dipped her head and then scooted forward to sniff noses.
"Hey, I just wanted to see you. It's been a long time," she said, deciding not to launch straight into her stirred-up feelings but rather focus on Sequoia for a moment. "How have you been? What have you been up to?"
Since it had been some time since their last proper conversation, they caught up for a while before Bat finally brought up the reason she'd come this way. Sequoia proved just as empathetic as Bat remembered. When she suggested that Bat should get her mind off things by traveling with her, the yearling quickly accepted. She'd already intended to get out and about, yet here was a very compelling reason to hit the road all the sooner.
They talked a while, making plans, and then went their separate ways to prepare. Bat almost went straight back to the plateau to tell Tegan. But would he even care? What if she ran into him and Poe together again? Instead, the girl went to look for Wildfire instead, so her mother would know she would be gone a while. And if and when she returned, she thought maybe she would come back here rather than roost with the Redhawks after all.

I'm going to remove Bat's titles, so have a quickie OOC conclusion! :)
