Sayf traveled through the barracks, a large chunk of deer meat clasped between his jaws. He was searching for Sakai, hoping to bring him dinner after his guard shift ended. The fellahin assumed he would be hungry, and he hoped he would be in the mood for company. 

Of course if the handsome mazoi wasn't anywhere to be found, the food would not go to waste. There were plenty of other soldiers who would be in need of a meal and some company. It was not his preference, of course, but he would happily serve someone else if needed.

Lately the fair guard could be found working the night shift, which did not suit him in the slightest. Distaste must have been plastered all over his face in the last guard briefing because after that, he acquired a much needed day shift. The sun set earlier these days, and as the last remnants of light clung to the red earth it was nice to know that his paws were carrying him home. Sakai loped into the barracks with a rough shake of his pelt in an effort to cleanse him of the day. To his surprise, he was not alone.

It had been a few days since he held Safy as the little bird fell asleep nestled into him. He had kept his word and stayed by his side, dozing on and off as well. It was a warm and comfortable day, and Kai left wanting more. "Sayf, hey." Quickly the soldier approached his lover with a deep rumble of pleasure, rubbing against the coyote like a cat. "Whatcha got there?"

The sultry tone of the mazoi's voice filled his ears, and his heart immediately responded, beating furiously in his chest. He turned to beam at the handsome wolf just as he brushed his entire body against his. 

The fellahin set the meat down so he could properly smile and so he could answer his lover's question. I thought you might be hungry, Sayf explained, reaching up to brush his nose along the giant's jaw. This is fresh, so I set it aside for you. The mazoi filled his thoughts often, and he couldn't help the need to take care of him.

"You take good care of me, Little Bird."

An embrace for the boy and then attentions were turned to the fresh kill. However as the mazoi replenished his energy with the meal, he was sure to keep his gaze steadily on the mesa coated servant. "And what of the others? Have they been fed?" Kai was curious how his partner would react and couldn't help but flash a bloody grin to the fellahin mid-feast. He wondered if he would still hold the position of Sayf's favorite but mostly just wanted to tease the young man a bit.

He preened under the compliment as always. Of course he took care of the mazoi, but it always filled him with warm validation to hear that he liked to be taken care of. 

Sayf sank into the embrace and then settled close as Sakai began to eat. The fellahin smiled at the mazoi's next words; he loved that his giant liked to tease him. They do not make me feel the way you do, so they can be fed by the other fellahin tonight, he answered softly, his eyes lighting with adoration as he gazed up at the handsome mazoi. 

He wanted to burrow into the guard's side, but he would be polite and wait until Sakai finished his meal. I missed you, he murmured, resting his head on his paws, his gaze never leaving the giant's face.

It was pride that filled the man's broad chest as he lay there next to his lover. Of course they did not make him feel the way Sakai did. Warmth spread from his chest to chase the length of his body in excitement, Sayf was his. "Good." The giant rumbled, finishing his meal just in time to admit, "I've missed you, too."

Pointedly, the warrior tossed his meal aside as he finished with a quick flick of his muzzle. He then turned to something equally as delicious. "Tell me about your day. Did you get into anything fun? If not, maybe we can go find our own fun tonight." A smile and then a sweet lick placed upon the little one's forehead. 

The mazoi's words filled him with warmth; it was nice to know that Sakai had missed him. Sayf wondered how often he drifted into the other man's mind. Was it as often as the giant filled his own?

The fellahin reached up and nibbled the line of Sakai's jaw in response to the kiss placed on his head. My day was like any other day, he answered, pushing his muzzle into the thick fur of the mazoi's neck to start grooming there. I prepared pharaoh's meals and tended to whatever else he needed. Sayf paused his grooming to smile up at the giant. I always have fun when I'm with you. He had no doubt that he would enjoy his time with the mazoi. 

And what about your day? the fellahin asked. How was it? Sayf returned to grooming the fur of the giant's neck while he waited for his answer.

The way Sayf spoke of tending to the Pharaoh would make some lovers jealous, but not Sakai. A small tingle of satisfaction that he secretly possessed his fellahin's head space while tending to others gave him great pleasure. "Sounds like you're right, another day in Akashingo." The shivers increased as Sayf hit a particularly tender spot on his neck, deep within the white plume he could not reach alone. The giant emit a low rumble as he thought over his day.

"Mine was particularly boring, which is good for the pack I suppose. No one to fu- eh, no one to politely escort from the territory." Knowing eyes and a wide smile fell upon the sunny gaze of his lover. He did not swear in front of those he courted. It was something he prided himself on, wanting to be as gentle as possible in their presence to make them feel safe and at ease. Sayf was no different, if anything he was special company. To be treated like a jewel like no other. Of course, speaking of, Kai found himself enjoying his duties as a soldier more and more these days. It was a good time to fuck someone up who deserved it. The power felt too great.

"Would you accompany me in a walk? Do you need to eat or anything?"

Shivers moved through the giant's body when Sayf groomed a particular area on his neck, and it only encouraged the fellahin to continue focusing on that spot. He liked to know that he pleased the mazoi. 

When Sakai told him of his day, the coyote paused his grooming to give him his full attention. The giant started to curse but quickly changed his choice of words, likely because he was in the fellahin's presence. Sayf would not have minded the cursing, but he appreciated the tenderness from the giant. We are lucky to have you for a guard, Sayf told him softly, reaching up to nibble at his jaw. 

The mazoi asked if he wanted to go for a walk and if he needed something to eat. To the second question, Sayf shook his head. I have already eaten. Then he smiled. But I would love to go for a walk. He would love to do anything with the giant honestly. These times were his favorite. Sakai never failed to make him feel treasured.

A boyish grin flashed and with a quickness the man was on his feet, nudging Sayf with his nose. It was settled then, the two would go find trouble. Sakai felt the weariness from his work day dissipate as his mind wondered where they should go. "You're the best, Sayf!" What were these? Were these feelings? The giant felt his demeanor falter slightly and his eyes shift away from the fellahin. He might as well have been a pup leaving the den for the first time. 

"After you..." Gentleman mode was turned back on as the wolf nodded towards the opening of the barracks.
