All Welcome
optional pack hunt @Sari @Candle @Koa @Talisman <3

opportunity presented itself in the form of an injured ruminant against the backdrop of oasis life.

a kill this large would last the tribe for a long while, letting them break in their constant foraging for a time. such fat and marrow and meat might even improve s'ari faster, zoug contemplated.

he had sent up a yipping call some time ago; now he waited in the morning light for hunters to arrive, for them to decide if the risk of sharp antler or knife-like hoof was worth it if they ensured meat.

Candle was a competent hunter, but not a confident one. She was wary when she answered Zoug's call. Wary, but not afraid. Quietly she joined him, brushing her flank briefly against his while her distracted gaze roamed all around them.

She watched for the others, hopeful that they would join them. It would go easier with more of their kin.

Where Candle was weary, far more confidant perhaps in her mending abilities, Ko'a was not hesitant. She followed the call where Zoug directed and the huntress came swift and assured. Pale peach-yellow eyes set upon the obvious target- an injured pronghorn.

She had hunted them before, yet not since being among the many in home Tribe. Would just the few of them be able? Surely. For with this animal's lame leg, all they needed to do was take small quick nips and time would do the rest.

S’ari was not sure she was up for a hunt just yet, but she made her way to where the others were, anyways. She would try her best. Surely the exercise would do her some good, help her get her strength back? But she would follow Zoug’s lead. She sat and waited, ears perked, keeping an eye on the injured animal and waiting for the signal.

he did not see talisman arrive, which provoked a grunt from the older man.

but the rest of them were here.

they would have to bleed it.

he glanced at the tribe and then began his trot, open, across the dunes. as his shadow lengthened, the pronghorn startled, and leapt into a shambling, pathetic run.

zoug gave silent chase.
