All Welcome
Looking for @Ujurak, but all welcome

Sven had been gone long enough. Had spoken to a few wolves had apologized to swiftcurrent. Now he just wanted his brother and the familiar scents of those he was used too. The girls had come, but they were exploring.

Ujurak! I was challenged to a spar, by a wolf named Cygnet. She knows Kristjan.

There was a quiet nervousness to him. Sven hardly ever sparred. He was more a hunter and a lover than a fighter.

As Ujurak had anticipated, Sven returned to camp and the stone prince met his brother with a wide smile.

Hvenær byrjaðir þú að velja slagsmál? His tone was teasing, although his ears piqued at the mention of the girl knowing Kristjan. Their middle brother was always social, having spent more time making friends outside their litter growing up than he had. While it wasn't surprising, it was still a point of interest.

There was different air to his brother that Ujurak picked up upon. Ujurak clapped a paw around Sven's shoulder to give his youngest sibling a hug, should he wish for it.

It is a friendly, spar, yes?

Sven ducked into his brother's embrace and squeezed. Then backed up with a grin.

Ég myndi aldrei he jested with a smile and dancing eyes. How lovely it was to have someone he loved so much.

It is. But I have never really sparred before, have you?

He had never been a fighter. He was more a lover. And to think that he would be expected to do what he could. He wasn't sure.

Roughhousing, with Astrid? Plenty. But a proper spar? Ujurak shook his head for emphasis. Much like Sven, Ujurak was inclined to peaceful resolutions. Never before had they needed to fight for themselves.

We are not fighters, but we are hunters! There is some overlap, yes? Ujurak padded arounded his brother in a circle. You have to watch for weakness, and find where to apply your strength while avoiding injury. Except instead of deer, you are facing a wolf that thinks the way we do.

Returning to the place he started from, he met his brother's gaze with encouragement.

Since it is all in good fun, we can learn from this. And we can ask Eivor and the wolves from Raventhorpe for spars once we return.

It was a reminder that they would need to get stronger. They were leaders now.

Sven gave a sardonic smile. Astrid just usually trounced me and then left me in the dirt. he chuckled softly adn sadly. How he missed her. It would be nice to have her here. But she was not and they were on their own.

He listened. There was that, and there was no reason there wasn't a fight in their heart of hearts after all. They had been descendents of true vikings. They carried the name of Lodbruk and their father had been a fighter in his day. They could too. It would just take some practice.

He nodded. I think I would like that and perhaps Bear claw we should do more with them.

She was strong. I think she might have liked Eivor and the Raventhorpe wolves. Given enough time, that is. He spoke with solemn, wistful note. Perhaps it was wishful thinking. Ujurak did not forget the scorn their sister held for those that did not share Gunnar's blood. but Ujurak was not so infallible to not hold those dearest to him in a positive light. Astrid was brave and strong. She would have made a good shieldmaiden.

Bittersweet were his thoughts. The past and alternate futures returned a familiar ache in his chest. Turquoise eyes rest warmly upon his star-kissed brother.

Yes, we should treat our neighbors well. Once we return from this hunt and settle, we should also arrange a hunt with Bearclaw. We've left talk of it in the air long enough. Do you think the beginning of winter may serve best?

Sven nodded. She would have. Perhaps even had better plans than the two of them. Even Kristjan was missing. Something that weighed heavy on the boy. How hard it was to deal with this. They were so young and he didn't know about Ujurak, but he felt as if they were alone and barely keeping their heads above water.

Hmm will there still be animals of large stature out and about that late. I know the caribou will travel then. They like the ice melts. But

He nodded his head. We can try. Even if we can't catch something big, perhaps enough small things will fill even one cache.
